Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Ashland, VA is seeking a Warehouse Selector to join our distribution team. You will accurately and efficiently pick products for Wegmans stores, ensuring quality and timely delivery while adhering to safety standards.

The role includes four 10-hour overnight shifts weekly, with cold-chain responsibilities and the need to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, or Vocollect is preferred; PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating pallet jack, forklift and Vocollect preferred.
• Attention to detail and teamwork skills valued.
• Willingness to work 10-hour overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently in a manner that minimizes product damage in transportation and maximizes trailer space
• Safely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties; this may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect
• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality
• Maintain knowledge of all quality standards/specifications and requirements for all products
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports as well as other forms of necessary communication
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads that have temperature requirements
• May work in and have exposure to cold temperatures; lift weight of 20-25 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently

Job Description

As a warehouse selector on our distribution team, you'll help deliver exceptional service by accurately and efficiently selecting products for Wegmans stores, using your attention to detail and teamwork skills to ensure success.

Work schedule

Preferred Experience

Frozen positions earn an extra $2.00 /hour
