Job summary

Compass Group USA in Dubuque, IA is hiring a full-time Warehouse Attendant to receive, store and distribute materials, tools and products in a fast-paced foodservice environment.

You'll work Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:00 pm or 7:00 am–3:00 pm, with on-site supervision. Prior light maintenance and warehouse experience is preferred, and strong safety practices apply. This role offers training and growth opportunities within Canteen's operations.

Qualifications

• Previous light maintenance and warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Places materials on racks, shelves and bins according to size, type, style, color or product code.
• Fills requisitions and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates and other containers.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant.
• Uses computer to enter records and compile worksheets.
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items.
• Prepares parcels for mailing and maintains inventory records.
