Job summary

Canteen, part of Compass Group USA, is hiring for a full-time Warehouse Attendant in Romeoville, IL. You will receive, store and distribute material, tools, and products, and move items according to production schedules and orders.

You’ll maintain stock in specified areas, including refrigerated rooms, and prepare items for packing and shipment. The role requires prior warehouse experience with cooler/freezer handling preferred; training is available.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse cooler and freezer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Places materials/goods on racks, shelves and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequence.
• Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves; conveys orders to packing/shipping.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Maintains inventory records and weighs or counts items for distribution.
