Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Associate in Carlisle, PA to efficiently handle the flow of merchandise through the distribution facility. You will select merchandise to be shipped to stores, palletize, shrink wrap, and operate material handling equipment.

Candidates must be able to stand for long periods, reach and move items, and work safely in a dynamic environment. UNFI offers competitive benefits and full-time employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach at the shoulder, above shoulder and below shoulder on a frequent basis.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, squat, push and pull on a frequent basis.
• Ability to operate equipment
• Good judgement is required as there may be times when immediate supervision is not available.

Responsibilities

• Select merchandise to be shipped to stores.
• Palletize merchandise and shrink wrap.
• Operate material handling equipment necessary to transport, stack, replenish, or select merchandise.
• Cross train and work in various areas of the facility.
• Follow company procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
