Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Wolfe Animal Hospital in Jesup, Georgia, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks, including care, restraint, treatment support, and clerical duties.

The successful candidate will work with a compassionate team in a full-service practice offering wellness and medical care, with a schedule of 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday–Friday, plus some holidays and weekend hours. Benefits are provided to teammates.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• At least 1 year of Veterinary Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners; record weight and vitals on arrival.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and restraints.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs as directed.
• Maintain hospital equipment, monitors, and supplies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of hospital and kennels.
• Bath and groom patients staying overnight; ensure proper release.
