PetVet Care Centers' Rabun Animal Hospital in Mountain City, Georgia is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join the team. You will support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks, care for patients, and handle basic administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for this position.
• Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
• This is a strenuous job that requires lifting, cleaning, and constant motion; may involve climbing, bending, kneeling, or crawling.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners, gather weights and vital signs on arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with examinations, treatments, and medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients and assist doctors with restraints and procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs; operate and maintain hospital equipment.
