Job summary

Compass Group USA – Canteen is hiring a full-time VENDING ATTENDANT at 6501 Virginia Manor Road, Beltsville, MD 20705. Schedule is Monday–Friday with varying hours; online applications accepted only. No prior experience required and will train.

Qualifications

• No prior vending or food service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Receives delivery of items to customer’s place of business.
• Stocks vending machines and coolers; collects money and makes change.
• Records transactions on card or electronic device.
• Is accountable for cash and product.
• Calls on existing customers to assess service adequacy.
• Prepares order forms for food and pastry items.
• Informs regular customers of new products or services.
• Listens to and resolves service complaints.
• Performs routine maintenance and sanitation of machines; keeps storeroom clean.
• Sets up merchandise and promotional displays; distributes sales materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
