Job summary

Allied Universal in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking a dedicated Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed) to patrol commercial properties, deter incidents, and assist tenants and visitors with a visible, professional presence.

Responsibilities include routine rounds, monitoring access points, reporting observations, and following site-specific procedures while delivering strong customer service and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed; 21+ for armed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Criminal history considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and building personnel while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe building activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
