Job summary

Allied Universal in Corona, NY is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Associate) to safeguard government and other facilities. You will monitor entrances, patrol interior and exterior areas, and respond professionally to incidents while delivering strong customer service.

Requirements include a NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with location procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and communicate observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while working collaboratively with location staff and emergency responders as needed.
