Primary Purpose:

Seeking a Travel Team Member Service Representative to travel between TowneBank offices, fill in for vacancies, welcome members, and handle transactions efficiently, ensuring smooth teller operations.

As a Member Service Representative, you will:

  • Handle monetary transactions, enter data into bank software, and provide receipts.
  • Verify checks and cash, examine documents for essential elements.
  • Review and override transactions as needed.
  • Follow security guidelines daily.
  • Stay updated on check cashing policies, procedures, and federal laws.
  • Review member accounts for transaction decisions.
  • Balance cash drawer daily.
  • Promote bank products and services.
  • Provide excellent service in person, on the phone, or via email.
  • Maintain professional appearance and behavior.
  • Perform additional duties like balancing ATMs, ordering supplies, and settling accounts.
  • Obey all applicable AML laws, rules, and regulations.

Minimum required skills and competencies:

  • At least one year of bank teller experience with a single employer.
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent member service.
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and bank software.
  • Flexibility to learn new systems and processes.
  • Ability to balance cash drawer daily.
  • Accurate and timely monetary transaction processing.
  • Teamwork, punctuality, dependability.
  • Good listening skills and positive resolution of member issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and learn new products.

Physical requirements:

  • Sedentary activities of an administrative nature.
  • Vision, hearing, speech, manual dexterity sufficient for work tasks.
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, exerting up to 50 pounds of force, and eyestrain.
  • No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
