Job summary

PsychoGeriatric Services (PGS) is seeking a Therapist (Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker) to deliver compassionate psychiatric care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care settings, working autonomously with a strong clinical and administrative support team.

This full-time, Monday–Friday role offers multi-location coverage across Kittanning, Johnstown, Harrisburg, Hollidaysburg, and Portage, PA with 32 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as a Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (MD, DC, VA, or PA).
• Experience serving older adults in long-term care settings preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously within a supportive clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family counseling to residents.
• Coordinate care with facility teams (Administrator, Director of Nursing, Social Services).
• Adhere to state and federal clinical guidelines and PGS protocols.
• Educate staff and support holistic patient-centered care.
• Maintain clear, timely documentation.

Requirements

Requirements:

• State licensure as a Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, or Clinical Social Worker (MD, DC, VA, or PA required)
• MondayFriday availability during normal business hours
• Ability to stand for 20 minutes and lift up to 15 pounds
