Job description

Full-time Tenure Track Faculty in Communication

The Department of Literature & Language at Bethel University (IN) is seeking a full-time tenure track faculty member in Communication capable of teaching both on-ground and online courses.

A strong candidate would be equipped to teach a range of Communication courses such as Media & Society, Social Media, Interpersonal Communication, and Digital Media. Preferential consideration may be given to candidates who are also able to teach general education English courses or Foreign Language courses.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct a Practicum in Student Media (podcasting, broadcasting, news writing, etc.)
  • Student advising
  • Attending department meetings
  • Serving on faculty-related committees
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Communication, Communication Studies, Journalism, or Digital Media from an accredited college/university is preferred.
  • Candidates with a Master’s degree in Communication, or other fields of Communication related degrees will be considered.
  • Applicants should hold a strong Christian faith, demonstrate the ability to integrate the Christian faith in coursework and maintain a personal and professional commitment to our mission and covenant lifestyle.
