Overview:

The School of Business at Quinnipiac University invites dynamic,innovative, and student-focused educators to join our FinanceDepartment as a tenure-track Associate Professor of Financebeginning in Fall 2027.

The School of Business seeks a faculty member who can contributenot only through excellence in teaching and scholarship, but alsothrough leadership in program development, faculty collaboration,industry engagement, and strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will help shape the future direction offinance education, contribute to strategic initiatives across theSchool of Business, and play a meaningful role in the continuedgrowth of the department's nationally recognized finance andfinancial technology programs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a record of academicaccomplishment and evidence of leadership potential in areas suchas curriculum development, program administration, facultygovernance, industry engagement, junior faculty mentoring, studentmentoring, and strategic initiatives.

We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests contributeto the evolving intersection of Finance, Financial Analytics,Artificial Intelligence, FinTech, Healthcare Finance,Biotechnology, and data-driven decision making. We welcomecandidates employing both traditional and emerging approaches toimportant questions in finance. Opportunities exist forinterdisciplinary collaboration with faculty across the School ofBusiness and the broader university in areas related to analytics,artificial intelligence, technology, law, healthcare, andinnovation.

Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduatecourses in finance, including Investments, Portfolio Management,Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, FinancialAnalytics, FinTech, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and relatedareas. The successful candidate will have opportunities tocontribute to the continued development of innovative programs inFinancial Technology, Financial Analytics, Healthcare Finance, andAI applications in finance.

Candidates should demonstrate an established and sustained recordof scholarly achievement, with evidence of continuing contributionsto high-quality finance research. The department is particularlyinterested in candidates whose scholarship explores how emergingtechnologies are reshaping financial markets, institutions, firms,and investors. Relevant areas may include, but are not limitedto:

  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in financialdecision-making
  • Asset pricing

Education Requirements:

  • Evidence of interdisciplinary collaboration involvingtechnology and finance.
