Job summary

American Bank & Trust Company in Opelousas is seeking full-time Tellers to perform routine branch operations and deliver complete, efficient customer service. The role requires 40 hours weekly, with a schedule 7:45 to 5:00, Monday through Friday, and a pre-employment credit check.

You will handle lobby and drive-thru transactions, cash handling, and balance cash drawers while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic math and computer skills.
Cash-handling experience.
Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
Ability to pass a background check.
Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Handle lobby, drive-thru, night deposit, or bank-by-mail transactions according to policies.
Cash handling, counting, verification, and daily balance of cash drawer.
Process daily teller work through Branch Capture.
Provide comprehensive, prompt customer service while complying with compliance requirements.
Meet service standards, greet customers warmly, and ensure security.
Maintain a neat workstation with organized supplies for a professional environment.
Work as a team with tellers to complete daily tasks and support leadership.
Provide high level of customer service with a smile.
Adhere to BSA/AML rules and related regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
