Job summary

First State Bank of Middlebury in Middlebury, Indiana is hiring a Full-Time Teller at the Middlebury Main Office. You will provide friendly, caring customer service, help customers with questions, and learn about our products and services to assist them effectively.

You will count money accurately, use technology to serve customers, follow bank procedures, and participate in in-house training. Spanish speakers are welcome; previous banking experience is a plus.

• New Accounts experience in banking is a plus.

Right now, we are looking for a Full-Time Teller in our Middlebury Main Office branch located in Middlebury, Indiana. Along with being a teller the majority of the time, we will need you to help out our team by learning about all of our products and services so you can assist our customers with their questions.

Here are things that you would do during your work day:

• Provide friendly, caring customer service
• Utilize technology to help you and our customers
• Follow instructions and procedures set out by the Bank
• Develop an understanding of our Bank's products and services
• Count money accurately
  
• Learn new skills such as new systems and procedures

And here are some skills that you will need:

• Friendly personality, positive attitude and professional image
• High School diploma or equivalent
• We really are looking for someone with New Accounts experience in the Banking Industry
• Ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and age groups
• Proven customer service skills
• Reliable transportation (we need you to be here when you are scheduled unless you are sick :))
• Willingness and ability to adjust to a change in work schedule with adequate notice
• Ability to successfully complete our in-house training program

The position offers good working conditions and environment. You must be able to lift and move coin bags weighing up to 25 pounds. You may be sitting or standing for long periods of time during your day. You will be looking at a computer screen for the majority of your work day.
