Job summary

Southwest Heritage Bank is seeking a friendly Teller to support our Alamogordo branch. You will handle deposits, cash checks, balance drawers, and provide accurate, courteous service to customers. You’ll also promote bank products, answer calls, and help ensure compliance with policies and procedures in daily operations.

The role is full-time, onsite in Alamogordo, NM, with opportunities for growth within our local community-focused bank.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year teller experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic typing and PC skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work with general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receives deposits and issues receipts with proper documentation.
• Cashes checks and withdrawals within limits.
• Balances cash drawer daily and verifies cash amounts.
• Answers telephones and directs callers to bank staff.
• Promotes bank products and refers customers to appropriate staff.
• Assists with night depository and vault duties as needed.
• Ensures compliance with bank policies and regulations.
