Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for an energetic, customer‑focused IND Teller to join our Riverton, Illinois branch. In this role you will help customers with daily banking transactions and promote our products and services while providing a friendly and efficient service experience.

Location

In‑office position located in Riverton, Illinois.

Responsibilities
  • Greet all bank customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Operate the teller window to process a variety of transactions within established guidelines, including deposits, withdrawals, loan and credit card payments, cash advances, and other customer‑initiated transactions.
  • Enter customer transactions into the computer, issue receipts, and record interactions in the bank’s CRM platform.
  • Respond to client account inquiries, place holds, and balance the cash drawer by counting cash, coins, and checks.
  • Maintain accurate daily supply of cash and complete end‑of‑day reconciliation, ensuring totals match computer records.
  • Provide courteous, efficient service and identify and cross‑sell additional banking products to both existing and new customers.
  • Other duties that are reasonably within the scope of the position may be assigned.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain banking products clearly.
  • Comfortable using digital platforms and guiding customers through technology‑based interfaces.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months to 1 year of related cash‑handling or customer‑service experience required.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Good judgment, goal‑orientation, and flexibility to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn bank‑specific software.
