Job summary

Telhio Credit Union in Hamilton, OH is seeking a Full-Time Teller to act as the friendly face of the credit union. The teller handles a variety of personal and business transactions, informs members about Telhio products, and works to provide exceptional service from the lobby or drive-through.

Work hours are 9am-6pm Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays 9am-1pm, totaling 40 hours per week. Strong communication, accuracy, and product knowledge are essential, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years experience in a cash handling role is preferred.
• Less than 1 year experience in member/customer service is preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and high accuracy in transactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office machines.
• Demonstrates teamwork and professionalism.
• Ability to build strong member relationships and provide financial guidance.
• Background check including credit, drug screen, bondability, and criminal history is required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Teller is the "face" of Telhio Credit Union; this individual represents Telhio's image during all interactions with members and potential members. Their role is to create a welcoming, friendly environment for members as soon as they enter the doors or drive through. The teller processes a variety of personal and business financial transactions for members and inform members about other Telhio products and services from which they could benefit. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Teller. Work hours during the week are 9am-6pm Monday - Friday and rotating Saturdays 9am - 1pm (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Process all member and non-member transactions accurately and efficiently (i.e. cash withdrawals, deposits, loan payments).
• Inform Members about products, services, and current promotions.
• Cross-sell credit union products by answering inquiries; informing members of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customer needs; directing customers to lobby and partner representatives.
• Refer members to Relationship Bankers and Senior Bankers for further discovery sessions.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with members, providing exceptional service and financial guidance.
• Maintains member confidence and protects credit union operations by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
• Balance cash drawers accurately.
• Complies with credit union operations and security procedures by participating in all dual control functions.
• Witness and assist in audits as requested.
• Performs other tasks as requested by supervisors as they relate to the bank and its functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• 1-3 yrs. - Experience in a cash handling role. (Preferred)
• Less than 1 year - Experience in Member/Customer Service (Preferred)
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong organizational skills to provide a high level of accuracy in all transactions
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, ability to operate standard office machines needed to perform the job, such as computer terminal, calculator/adding machine, copier, and fax machine
• Possess team "attitude" and professionalism at all times
• Demonstrates strong relationship building skills
• Demonstrates strong member advisory skills
• Telhio applicants must be able to pass a background check including: Credit, Drug Screen, Bondability, & Criminal Background
