Job summary

SD 308 is seeking a Teacher Assistant - General Education to support licensed teachers in monitoring and reinforcing skills for students in small groups or one-on-one settings. The role includes maintaining student records and assisting with materials, tests, and occasional translation.

Under supervision, you may plan lessons, provide instructional support in various settings, and participate in professional development. This is a full-time, on-site position at Southbury Elementary School in IL.

Qualifications

• Valid educator license required (paraprofessional, professional educator or substitute).
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and reinforces skills with small groups or one-on-one.
• Maintains and updates student records and monitors progress.
• Prepares instructional materials and may assist with lesson planning.
• Supervises students before/after school and during lunch/recess.

Education
