Job summary

Barker Central School District is seeking a dynamic Teacher Aide to support students and classroom activities as requested by the teacher. This is a ten-month, full-time position that covers PreK-12 and emphasizes collaboration within a team committed to student growth.

The Teacher Aide will supervise students, assist with physical needs, and uphold professional conduct while engaging in district and classroom staff development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ten-month position covering PreK-12.
• Experience with students with special needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in all school activities as determined by Administration or the Teacher.
• Attends to the physical needs of students throughout the school day, providing assistance to ensure health and safety in all settings.
• Demonstrates professional conduct towards administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents and community members.
• Participates in district, building and classroom staff development activities.
• Performs such other tasks as assigned by Administration and the Teacher.
