Job summary

The West Seneca Central School District is seeking anticipated Teacher Aide positions for the 2026‑2027 school year in our secondary buildings. Full‑Time positions are 10 months, join our team and participate in the NYS Retirement System.

Teacher Aides provide non‑teaching support to students with social/emotional and learning needs, model appropriate social skills, assist with classroom tasks, and help with behavior management to keep classrooms running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
• Four years of experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved.
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
• Two years of college education or 60 credit hours and/or qualified as a paraprofessional.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and participating in activities to improve the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children.
• Assist children with the development of social skills.
• Supporting the classroom teacher.

Education
