Job summary

Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, Ohio, seeks a full-time LPN or Medical Assistant for the Surgery Office. The role involves vitals, charting, meds, blood draws, EKGs, vaccinations, and patient education, within a patient-centered rural hospital.

The successful candidate will have an accredited nursing or MA program, Ohio LPN licensure or MA certificate, BLS certification, and 1–3 years of healthcare experience preferred. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Practical Nursing Program or Medical Assistant Program is required.
• Valid State of Ohio LPN Licensure or MA Certificate is required.
• BLS Certification is required (may be obtained during orientation).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, effective patient care using the nursing process.
• Obtain vitals, charting, assessments, and assist with tests and medications.
• Draw blood, perform EKGs, administer vaccinations, and educate patients.
• Handle clerical/administrative tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments.
