Position Status: Full-Time | Hourly Rate: $16.50 | Location: 1522 East Carroll St., Macomb, IL 61455.

Job Summary

The Store Team Leader assists the Store Leader, Assistant Store Leader, management team, and staff to execute store operational goals of the annual operating plan. The Team Leader makes judgments involving customers, team members, operational issues, business planning, priority setting, compliance with company policies, and all areas of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Staff Management and Development – 30%: Provides coaching and training to hourly employees on daily tasks, participates in recruitment process including pre‑screening and interviewing candidates, and seeks out opportunities for professional development.
  • Operations – 60%: Completes day‑to‑day tasks, suggests efficiency improvements, integrates and represents Goodwill’s Mission, Vision, and Values to internal and external customers.
  • Financial Management and Reporting – 10%: Acts as steward of resources, tracks and measures day‑to‑day sales, production goals and donations.

  • Level of Education: None required; candidates should demonstrate capability and articulate how prior experience will allow them to contribute.
  • Supervisory Expertise: Oversees work of others directly or indirectly in a service‑related industry.
  • Coaching: Provides timely guidance and effective feedback.

Preferred Competencies
  • Industry Expertise: Experience working in a warehouse environment and knowledgeable of planning, inventory control, equipment maintenance, teamwork, documentation, and data entry.
