Full Time - Store Production Supervisor (Dock)

Job Objective

The purpose of the Store Processing Supervisor is to oversee the production process and personnel assigned to that process with a focus on meeting established production/sales quotas/goals.

Essential Functions

• Assign, direct and ensure completion of daily tasks for processors. Maintain a clean work environment, ensuring workspaces are prepared for the next day's production.
• Train new team members on production expectations and processes.
• Provide quality control inspections, ensuring only the best product makes it to the floor (Good, Better, Best).
• Track and report production at scheduled times.
• Participate in production processes as needed.
• Proficiently use cash register at locations that require.
• Implement strategies to meet product acquisition, production, and sales goals for the day/week/month.
• Diligently implement product rotation process.
• Ensure eCommerce quotas are filled by the production team.
• Communicate with personnel to place supply orders for next day's processing.
• Support store maintenance and appearance.
• Follow procedures for maintenance and safety concerns.
• Communicate with Store Management regarding all aspects of store operations, incidents, and concerns.
• Support management in policy and procedure understanding.
• Direct concerns to management.
• Safeguard company assets.
• Execute inventory control protocols to minimize theft.
• Optimize use of resources to reduce waste.
• Be available for flexible schedules, including early/late shifts, Saturdays, and holidays.
• Transfer to other stores if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or pursuing one.

Experience: Retail sales production and/or thrift store experience preferred. Experience following and giving directions.

Skills/Abilities

• Effective communication in English.
• Basic computer skills, including payroll systems.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
• Basic math skills.

Supervisory Responsibility

Oversee production team members, including paid staff and volunteers. Supervise work therapy assignments.

Physical Requirements

Regular standing, handling, hearing, talking; walking, reaching; occasional climbing, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, 100 pounds with a team.

Travel

May be required to travel for work or training.

Working Conditions

Store environment with moderate noise, possible dust, temperature fluctuations, extended standing. Full-time, including weekends and evenings. Must support the religious mission of The Salvation Army and its recovery program.
