Job description

As a Store Manager Trainee, you’ll train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for managing your own store. Your responsibilities include supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, staffing, scheduling, and developing operational plans while mentoring the team.

Position Details:
  • Type: Full-Time
  • Hours: 48-50 hours/week
  • Starting Wage: $26.50/hour
  • Potential Year 1 Earnings: Up to $93,500 (including salary and bonus, varies by location)
Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Supervise daily operations and team performance to provide excellent customer service
  • Understand and communicate company strategy and core values to foster teamwork
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues appropriately
  • Maintain proper store signage, product quality, and freshness
  • Assist in hiring by reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
  • Manage weekly schedules for adequate staffing
  • Set and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations
  • Conduct store meetings and identify training opportunities
  • Perform annual performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions
  • Achieve store payroll and loss budgets
  • Manage cash audits and monitor the competitive environment
  • Provide product feedback and make recommendations for inventory
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment
  • Oversee merchandising and stock levels
  • Conduct inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Comply with policies, ensuring confidentiality and security
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
  • Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform various physical activities
Job Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Provide excellent customer service and develop rapport with team
  • Interpret policies, set goals, and evaluate performance
  • Understand budgeting and expense management
  • Operate cash register and store equipment safely
  • Stay organized and detail-oriented
  • Meet state and local alcohol handling requirements
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 3 years in retail, management experience preferred
Travel:

Flexibility to travel within divisional requirements for training at multiple locations.
