As a Store Manager Trainee, you’ll train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for managing your own store. You’ll supervise daily store activities, ensure overall performance, identify staffing needs, manage schedules, develop operational plans, and mentor the team.
Position Details:
- Type: Full-Time
- Hours: 45 hours/week
- Starting Wage: $28.50/hour
- Potential Year 1 Earnings: Up to $94,000 (including salary and bonuses; varies by location)
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage and adjust weekly staff schedules.

- Conduct team meetings and performance evaluations.
- Identify training opportunities and support staff development.
- Achieve payroll and loss budgets.
- Manage cash audits and monitor the competitive environment.
- Provide product feedback and make recommendations.
- Ensure a safe environment and proper store maintenance.
- Oversee product merchandising and inventory counts.
- Adhere to company policies, ensuring confidentiality and security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform various physical activities.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk regularly.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Provide excellent customer service and develop team rapport.
- Interpret company policies and set performance goals.
- Manage budgets, personnel costs, and expenses.
- Operate cash registers accurately.
- Safely operate store equipment.
- Stay organized, multitask, and follow instructions.
- Meet legal requirements for handling alcohol, if applicable.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 3 years in retail, management experience preferred.
Travel:
Flexibility to travel between locations for training.
