As a Store Manager Trainee, you’ll train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for managing your own store. Responsibilities include supervising daily store activities, ensuring store performance, staffing, scheduling, developing operational plans, and mentoring team members.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 45 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $28.50/hour
• Estimated Year 1 Earnings: Up to $104,500 (including salary and bonus)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Supervise store operations and team performance to deliver excellent customer service
• Communicate and model company values to foster teamwork
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues
• Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing staff
• Manage schedules, conduct meetings, and evaluate performance
• Achieve payroll and loss budgets
• Manage cash audits and monitor competitive environment
• Provide product feedback and maintain store safety and merchandising standards
• Conduct inventory counts and ensure policy compliance

Physical and Job Qualifications

• Ability to stock merchandise and lift up to 45 pounds
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk regularly
• Must be 18 or older, able to operate equipment, and follow safety standards
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Prior management and retail experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
