Job description

As a Store Manager Trainee, you’ll train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for managing your own store. Your responsibilities include supervising daily store activities, ensuring store performance, staffing, scheduling, and developing operational plans while mentoring the team.

Position Details:
  • Type: Full-Time
  • Hours: 45 hours/week
  • Starting Wage: $28.50/hour
  • Potential Year 1 Earnings: Up to $98,000 (including salary and bonus, varies by location)
Duties and Responsibilities:

Must perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating company values and competencies
  • Supervising store operations and team performance
  • Communicating company strategy and core values
  • Handling customer concerns and resolutions
  • Maintaining store signage, product quality, and freshness
  • Participating in hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Managing budgets, payroll, and store losses
  • Monitoring the competitive environment and providing product feedback
  • Ensuring safety and proper store maintenance
  • Overseeing merchandising, inventory, and compliance with policies
Physical Demands:

Ability to stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform various physical activities required for store operations. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent customer service and leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret policies, set goals, and evaluate performance
  • Knowledge of budgeting and expense management
  • Efficient operation of cash registers and store equipment
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Legal requirements for handling alcohol, if applicable
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 3 years retail experience, with management preferred
Travel:

Training may require travel across multiple locations within divisional requirements.
