Job summary

ALDI, Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a Store Associate to help merchandise and stock, cashier, and keep the store clean while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers full-time hours with 30+ hours per week and starting wage of $20.50 per hour, with scheduled increases through Year 5. Responsibilities include operating the POS system, stocking shelves, processing curbside orders, and maintaining safety and inventory procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
• Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Merchandising and stocking product to maintain store appearance.
• Cashier duties and processing customer purchases using the POS system.
• Assist with curbside pickup orders and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Stock shelves and displays following planograms to maximize sales.
• Participate in loss prevention and support management in loss goals.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safe working environment.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
