Job summary

ALDI is seeking a dedicated store associate to provide prompt customer service, operate the POS, and ensure accurate checkout and curbside pickup. You will stock shelves, follow merchandising plans, and help maintain a safe, efficient store environment.

Qualifications include high school or equivalent, strong math, communication skills, and the ability to work independently or with others. This role requires about 30+ hours per week with starting wages around $20.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prompt and courteous customer service is required.
• Ability to operate store equipment (cash registers, floor scrubber, etc.).
• Ability to follow ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Basic arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Uses the POS system to scan and process purchases; reports scanning issues to management.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.
• Supports efficient checkout by managing additional lanes as needed.
• Stocks shelves and merchandising displays per planograms to maximize sales.
• Completes curbside pickup orders accurately and timely from the staging area.
• Maintains zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assists management in achieving operational efficiency and loss reduction goals.
• Ensures a safe working environment by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment.
• Performs inventory procedures and follows product handling guidelines.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to company standards.
