Job description

As a Store Associate, you'll be responsible for merchandising and stocking products, cashiering, and cleaning to maintain the store's appearance. You will enhance the customer shopping experience by collaborating with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Details:

• Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 32-40 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $18.00/hour
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $18.50, Year 3 - $19.00, Year 4 - $19.00, Year 5 - $20.00

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning, stock shelves and merchandise displays
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team and management
• Report product issues, inventory discrepancies, and errors
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses
• Adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform physical activities like sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• Customer service skills and cash register operation
• Ability to operate equipment safely
• Good communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Compliance with state and local alcohol handling laws

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
