Qualifications

• Previous training and experience in sterilization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train trainee Dental Assistants.
• Oversee sterilization and infection control practices in the clinic.
• Coordinate daily sterilization operations.
• Oversee instrument cleaning, packaging, sterilization, and storage.
• Ensure compliance with infection control regulations and IFU’s.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, logs, and weekly spore testing.
• Verify proper function of autoclaves daily.
• Ensure safe transport of contaminated instruments to the sterile center.
• Promote safe sterilization practices to minimize injuries.
• Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies and PPE.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and repairs related to sterilization.
• Assist with quality assurance, compliance, and inspections.
