Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring for a Sterile Processing Technician at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. This full-time role offers an evening shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm) with online applications accepted. Prior sterile and healthcare experience preferred, lifting up to 50 pounds, and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in related Healthcare field preferred. College level courses/related experience may substitute.
Ability to push, pull, and lift greater than 50 pounds.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles and transports equipment.
Decontaminates the full range of reusable patient care equipment and supplies.
Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, high level disinfects, assembles and transports flexible scopes and probes.
Sterilizes instruments and surgical supplies using steam or gas sterilizers.
Operates sterilizing and decontamination equipment.
Prepares packages of supplies and maintains distribution records.
