Overview

Delivers expert spiritual care, crisis intervention, and support to patients, their families, and IU Health colleagues. Serves on various institutional committees as assigned. Provides educational services to students, colleagues, and external communities/groups. Responsible for on-call services as needed. Acts as Staff Chaplain for Catholic Ministries at University and Riley Hospitals, providing Catholic Sacraments and Masses for patients, families, and staff. Assists the Catholic Priest/Chaplain at Methodist Hospital as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and Master of Divinity Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution, certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains or similar body.
• 0-3 years of spiritual care experience in related fields.
• Minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education, preferably accredited through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Board certification within 2 years of hire through the Association of Professional Chaplains, Neshama, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or similar.
