Are you a highly skilled, compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) looking for a Full Time position and the opportunity to improve the quality of life of residents at a large rehab and nursing facility? Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center has the perfect opportunity for YOU!

Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):

  • The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will screen, examine and evaluate residents, including history, systems review, applications of appropriate tests and measures and interprets findings in order to establish a diagnosis, identify impairments, determine the predicted level of improvement and time required to achieve it, identify precautions and design a plan of care.
  • Develops appropriate treatment goals and methods in collaboration with the resident and caregivers, implements the treatment plan and completes all related documentation required for those services.
  • Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will attend and contribute to resident care, staff conferences and other related meetings.
  • Consults with and makes referrals to other disciplines, agencies in order to address the comprehensive needs of the resident.
  • Provide exceptional customer service: ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate environment.
  • Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for Clinical Programming.
  • Responsible for maintaining efficiency standards.

Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in this state.
  • Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
  • Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Speech Language Pathology procedures.
  • Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of therapy areas.
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
  • Must obtain and maintain GFY/CCC certification from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical/drug screen.
