Job description

Full Time Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Technician - Iron Springs Elementary

Join the Iron County School District in Cedar City, UT, as a Full Time Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Technician starting in August for the 2025-2026 school year. This position remains open until filled.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting diagnostic procedures for speech and hearing evaluations to identify issues and planning appropriate remediation methods tailored to each child's needs.
  • Managing educational programs for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders, including monitoring progress and sharing data with parents and district stakeholders for IEPs.
  • Providing speech, language, and hearing services to students below the normal levels for their age, following ICSD SLP Guidelines.
  • Participating in child find activities and recommending diagnostic/instructional services based on eligibility determinations.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local mandates, including IEP development and Medicaid reimbursement verification.
  • Engaging families in planning and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to implement instructional strategies for students with communication disorders.
  • Developing and implementing a hearing testing program for students, testing all pupils every other year, with annual testing for students with IEPs.
  • Participating in professional growth activities and maintaining reliable attendance and job performance.
