Job summary

The Sharon Public Schools are seeking a 1.0 FTE special education teacher for the SOAR Program at Heights Elementary School. The role focuses on instructional planning, DTT programming, data collection, and collaboration with BCBA and general education staff to support students with communication impairments and autism spectrum-related needs.

DESE Licensure is required (Severe Disabilities or Moderate Disabilities).

Qualifications

• Experience delivering instruction based on IEP goals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with DTT and ABA-based instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct instruction based on IEP goals.
• Develop and oversee DTT programming for SOAR classroom.
• Data collection and progress monitoring.
• Serve as case manager/liaison for students on caseload.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
• Collaborate with BCBA, teachers, and related service providers.
• Communicate with families and school staff.
• Administer and analyze assessments and write evaluation reports.
• Chair annual review team meetings and handle required paperwork.
