Job summary

Ahschools is seeking two Paraeducator Special Education staff to assist in instructional support for students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room or center-based settings. Duties vary with age and disability level and include behavior management and progress monitoring.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent, PCA certification within 30 days, and 60 credits or a degree, or ParaEducator/ParaPro exam.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; PCA certification must be completed within 30 days of start date.
• Candidates must have 60 semester/90 quarter credits or an associate degree or higher, or have passed ParaEducator/ParaPro exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of students with disabilities in various settings.
• Monitor and record student progress in academics, daily living skills, etc.
• Assist with physical needs including toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, and transportation.
