Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of higher education or an associate degree preferred.
• Must meet paraprofessional requirements (education or assessment).
• CPR, first aid, and crisis intervention certifications required or to be obtained.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in meeting academic, behavioral, and individual needs of students with disabilities.
• Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction under a teacher's direction.
• Assist with IEP and 504 goals and collect academic/behavioral data.
• Foster classroom inclusion and provide accommodations during assignments.
• Support daily living and self-care needs; assist with safety and health procedures.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals; maintain confidentiality.
