Job summary

Oswego Community Unit School District 308 seeks exceptional candidates for the position of Special Education Teacher Assistant to support students with specialized needs as directed by Special Education Teachers. Duties include assisting with academics, behavior, and health/hygiene needs, and adapting guidance to individual students.

The role offers a typical 35-hour work week, a salary of $21.25 per hour, access to medical and dental insurance with board-paid premiums, IMRF pension

Qualifications

• Experience or ability to support students with specialized needs.
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds without assistance, or up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to assist with physical tasks as required by district guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with academic instruction and classroom activities as directed by Special Education Teachers.
• Support behavioral and health/hygiene needs of students.
• Adhere to district policies and safety procedures.
