Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Associate Sonographer to operate ultrasound imaging equipment and software to aid diagnosis and treatment. You will ensure patient safety, maintain high-quality images, and collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate care.

Education: graduate of a school of Sonography with required clinical hours or registered sonographer; certifications: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI registry or registry eligible with BLS within 30 days of hire; Arkansas-specific

The Associate Sonographer operates imaging equipment and software, mostly ultrasound equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The Associate Sonographer position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

Position Details:

Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR registered sonographer.

License: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Certifications/Registrations: Obtained ARDMS or ARRT or CCI registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

In the state of Arkansas, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography-Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS-RVT), OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International- Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) is required within 12 months of hire and/or transfer.
