Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Experienced Advanced Sonographer to operate ultrasound imaging equipment and related software, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will lead when supervision is unavailable, act as an expert resource, and assist in training while maintaining high imaging standards and clear communication with patients and healthcare teams.

Education: graduate of a school of Sonography with required clinical hours; 2 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
• Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
• Licenses/registries: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 3 applicable registries OR 2 registries with 5 years of experience; BLS may be required.

Position Details
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
License: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certifications/Registries: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 3 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 5 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS)
In the state of Arkansas, ARDMS-RVT OR CCI-RVS OR ARRT-VS may be required within 12 months of hire and/or transfer depending on scope of role.

• Knowledge of advanced procedures and/or invasive procedures, if applicable

• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of quality assurance protocols and accreditation standards.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
