Job summary

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our compassionate team. This full-time role involves evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, and supporting swallowing and communication goals.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited Speech Therapy Program and hold a New York State license. Experience is a plus, but we welcome new graduates and provide ongoing training and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
• Current New York State License.
• Experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating residents and developing a treatment plan that meets their unique needs.
• Selecting activities to help residents carry out their daily living tasks independently.
• Assessing resident progress and preparing detailed reports.
• Rehabilitating residents with disabilities resulting from injury, illness, or other factors.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Documenting resident care services and maintaining department records.
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to contribute to a cohesive and effective care approach.

Education
