Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Full-time Short-term Substitute Health Care Assistant Floater in the Burle area of Lancaster to support health care needs of students in IU operated special education and alternative education programs.

The position offers 7.50 hours per day (7:30 am-3:00 pm), Monday-Friday, 89 days per year, with a minimum hourly salary of $28.05. Candidates must be licensed LPN, CPR/AED and First Aid certified and able to work as part of an educational team.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Health Care Assistants (HCA) are responsible for meeting the medical needs of students enrolled in IU operated special education and alternative education classes/programs.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The strength and ability to assist in lifting and supporting students of ages ranging from pre-school to twenty-one and their assistive appliances.

Considerable bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling and squatting must be tolerated as well as the ability to assist in physical interventions (such as physical restraints) when necessary

Ability to maneuver student/adults into a safe position for administering First Aid or CPR
