Job summary

Scheels is seeking a Merchandise Associate in Sioux Falls to support storefront operations. You will unload freight, tag and price items, restock floors, and assist customers and fellow associates with loading purchased products.

The role emphasizes organization, multitasking, and problem-solving within a team environment. Expect varied hours including evenings and weekends; benefits include ESOP and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 months of related experience or training.
• Demonstrates ability to stay organized, multitask, and handle a merchandiser role.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from freight, tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise for the floor or back stock.
• Restock merchandise on the sales floor and bring products to the floor for display.
• Assist customers and sales associates with retrieving and loading purchased products.
• Follow Line Leader checklists and merch guides to prioritize shop needs.
• Coordinate with Specialty Shop Managers and display teams on shop moves and mannequin placement.
• Maintain an orderly appearance with general cleaning and organization in stores and back stock.
• Work independently and with the team; exercise judgment and tact with all levels of the organization.
• Willing to perform other tasks as assigned by leadership and Merchandising Lead.
• Varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for heavy work.
