Job summary

Inspired Living of Ocoee is seeking a Server to support our dining services for residents. This full-time role reports to the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality and emphasizes quality meal service and resident satisfaction during meals.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, self-motivated, and able to work independently with strong organizational skills. Experience in food service is preferred, and a pleasant, professional demeanor is essential to thrive in a senior living environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops a positive customer service culture in the dining room through staff training.
• Ensures staff provides service that maintains resident experiences during meal times; circulates to ascertain preferences.
• Maintains a clean dining room, including equipment, walls, tables, chairs, linens, and condiments.
• Ensures safety and compliance with Safety Committee Standard; assists with injury investigations when required.
• Fosters teamwork, shows initiative, and positively impacts coworkers, residents, and visitors.

Welcome to Inspired Living, we're seeking a Server Full-Time or for our seniors at Inspired Living of Ocoee.

The Server is responsible for all activities in the Restaurant and Hospitality Department under the direction of the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality. Responsible for quality of service delivery during meal service, compliance with special diets offered by the community, and communicating with Distinctive Living on all appropriate matters.

Essential Functions

1. Develops a positive customer service culture in the dining room through staff training. Evaluates the quality of service and develops systems to maximize the efficiency of meal delivery while maintaining a pleasant dining experience.
2. Ensures staff provides service that maintains good resident experiences during meal times. Circulates in the dining room to ascertain resident preferences and satisfaction with meals. Develops service systems that balance quality and speed of meal delivery.
3. Maintains a clean dining room. This includes all equipment, walls, table tops and bases, and chairs. Ensures linens are changed as needed and tabletop condiments and salt and pepper shakers are kept clean.
4. Ensures they and any employees working with them work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are managed. Compliant with Safety Committee Standard. Should workplace injuries occur, the Department Heads and Directors are to assist the Executive Director when required with the investigation, return to work, and management of the injured worker communication with care provider and Distinctive Living.
5. Fosters teamwork with co-workers, shows initiative in overcoming obstacles, takes actions which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and has a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
