Job summary

Avamere at Hermiston is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents across independent living, assisted living, and memory care areas. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, linen handling, and waste disposal in a busy facility.

The role requires reliable, detail-oriented individuals who can work Wednesday through Saturday, 7am–3pm, in Hermiston, OR. Benefits are outlined in the employment package for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with various cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to maintain high cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate with staff and follow instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and surfaces in rooms and areas.
• Clean bathrooms, windows, floors, carpets, and walls as instructed.
• Handle laundry including sorting, washing, and sterilization as needed.
• Coordinate routine isolation cleaning with nursing care after resident discharge or transfer.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor.
• Follow fire safety and sanitation procedures.
