Training and Responsibilities

The Relief Manager will attend our four-phase training program with USG Certified Trainers on sales, operations, auction process, and marketing techniques. Employees receive ongoing training throughout the year and at our annual Company Meeting.

Self-Storage is a fast-paced environment. Employees wear many hats: salesperson, customer service rep, cleaner, marketer, accountant, cashier, and more! As a USG Relief Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Greeting customers with a smile and handshake
  • Assisting customers in selecting the appropriate unit size
  • Completing rental paperwork accurately
  • Conducting facility walk-throughs and lock checks
  • Posting payments and following up on past due accounts
  • Maintaining customer records
  • Making daily bank deposits
  • Monthly marketing activities
  • Maintaining merchandise for sale
  • Cleaning units and maintaining grounds and facilities
  • Preparing auction units as needed
Work Schedule and Benefits

Stores are open Monday – Saturday, 9 am - 6 pm. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and monthly bonuses based on performance. Benefits include:

Physical Demands

Employees must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds with assistance occasionally. Vision requirements include distance, peripheral, and depth perception. The role involves standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and talking.
