Securitas, Inc. is seeking a dependable, professional Security Officer for a client site in Rochester, MA. The role requires strong communication, vigilance, and a commitment to safety.

The position is full-time with a Monday–Friday, 2pm–10pm shift. Pay is $19.50 per hour, with benefits such as insurance, 401(k), paid training, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ or meet age requirements for assignment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stay alert, exercise sound judgment.
• Attention to detail and observational skills.
• Professional demeanor and customer-service attitude.
• Ability to follow site procedures and instructions.
• Security, military, law enforcement or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Must pass background screening and site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent unauthorized activity and maintain site security.
• Control access to the facility by verifying IDs and monitoring visitors and contractors.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Conduct routine security patrols and inspections of designated areas.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Enforce site security procedures and access control requirements.
• Provide professional assistance and customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
• Communicate effectively with management, client personnel and security team.
• Follow emergency procedures and assist with evacuations when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism on duty.
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ability to remain alert, exercise sound judgment, and respond appropriately to changing situations.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to follow written procedures, verbal instructions, and site-specific protocols.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to successfully complete the required background screening and any applicable site-specific requirements.
