SUMMARY

Patrols the grounds and buildings of the Shopping Center. Performs a variety of tasks while working under general supervision. Reports any suspicious activity. Duties include assisting other team members with special projects, as needed. A friendly, customer service-oriented skill set is expected when working among the public and with other staff.

Shift - Monday-Tuesday OFF; Wednesday-Thursday-Sunday 3pm-11pm; Friday-Saturday 2pm-10pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Protect the property both on foot and by vehicle, being visible and observant at all times.
2. Maintain the security cellular phone and professionally respond to all calls for service within the Center.
3. Ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of the shopping public by always exhibiting a professional and helpful attitude.
4. Ensure critical areas of the property are monitored.
5. Maintain complete knowledge of all security operations, policies, and procedures.
6. Document security activity using appropriate corporate and center security forms, ensuring the work product is concise, accurate, and thorough.
7. Assist the Security Supervisor and Security Director in implementing the center's Security work plan; assigned work activities, projects, and programs.
8. Perform all duties according to OSHA established health and safety standards.
9. Comply with all Corporate and Security policies and procedures that pertain to the Center.
10. Establish and maintain working relationships with store managers and employees to enhance security and safety.
11. Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee must possess strength, stamina, and mobility by walking considerable distances during the work shift, working outdoors in all weather conditions, using hands and fingers to write reports, standing for prolonged periods, bending to lift and move materials weighing up to 60 pounds or more with proper equipment, and having near acuity for clarity of vision at 20 feet or more with or without corrective lenses. Vision to read printed materials, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio.
